📖 Short Story to Learn 20 Vocabulary Words in English & Hindi

During a local festival, a young man walked into the crowd wearing a clever disguise. His costume helped him blend in, even though his clothes were almost in tatters after days of travel.

Despite his poor appearance, he was innocent and had no complicity in the small protest that later broke out. Moving gingerly through the narrow streets, he avoided the angry crowd as the situation began to slump into chaos.

The government had to make a drawdown of emergency funds, which were indispensable to restore order. Rumors were spreading, belying the truth and causing unnecessary panic. Authorities decided to scrap the false reports and assured citizens that resources were aplenty.

Some leaders tried to bluster, speaking loudly with empty confidence, while others remained calm and avoided sounding pompous. Unfortunately, a few made inopportune remarks that only worsened tensions.

A brave officer worked to ennoble the situation with dignity and courage, showing true masculinity by acting responsibly rather than violently. The police managed to quell the unrest before it spread further.

Certain troublemakers used blarney to manipulate the crowd, appealing to people’s emotions. However, many citizens had no penchant for violence and refused to be misled.

Investigators later found that the unrest had been fomented by a small group. Once they were removed, the raucous noise of shouting faded into a calm and peaceful silence.
